Tools For Tracking Progress in Amenorrhea Recovery Clients

Building on our previous blog post discussion about using the Fertility Awareness Method (FAM) as a diagnostic tool with your clients in HA recovery, let's delve deeper into other invaluable resources for tracking progress in your clients recovery journey.

Now on with the coaching nugget…

As we navigate the complexities of recovery with our clients, it's crucial to have a comprehensive toolkit at our disposal. Alongside FAM you might also want to suggest your client track other areas of progress such as mentally, mood, and symptoms. As we all know it’s not all about the bleed, so much repair is happening mentally and physically as clients work towards restoring their fertility.

Additional signs of recovery you can track include:

Mental Checklists

Often overlooked but essential, mental checklists provide insight into our relationship with food and exercise. By monitoring tendencies like constant thoughts about food, anxiety around meals, or difficulty taking rest days, we can identify areas for growth and healing.

Mood Trackers

Our emotions offer valuable clues about hormonal fluctuations and overall well-being. Tracking mood changes allows us to correlate them with hormonal shifts, indicating progress in recovery. Stable moods signify nourishment and the gradual restoration of hormonal balance.

Symptom Trackers

Recognizing and documenting physical symptoms associated with low hormone levels and low energy availability is crucial for gauging progress. Symptoms such as fatigue, brain fog, cold extremities, dry skin, and irritability serve as indicators of hormonal imbalances. Tracking changes in these symptoms provides valuable feedback on the effectiveness of our recovery strategies.

These checklists serve as a powerful tool for your clients to learn and comprehend the language of their bodies, a vital skill after years of disconnection. By encouraging your clients to tune into their body's signals and responses, you empower them with a deeper understanding of their overall well-being.

If you’re ready to empower your clients with the language of their bodies and explore how to use these checklists and The FAM as tools in your clients HA Recovery, consider enrolling in the HHAP certification.

Let's keep empowering and educating. Together, we make a difference.
